Clemson rises to 21st among top public universities
Clemson University ranks 21st among national public universities, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual guide to “America’s Best Colleges” for 2014, school officials said late Monday night. That marks the university’s highest rank, and it is the sixth consecutive year the school has been in the top 25. After six years among the Top 25 national public universities, Clemson reached 21 in what will be James Barker’s last year as president. Also, Clemson ranks eighth among “up-and-coming schools” that have made “the most promising and innovative changes in academics, faculty, students, campus or facilities,” the school said.
